These terms govern access to Trajekt and set the boundaries of the closed-beta financial planning service.

Effective July 29, 2026Version 2026-07-29

Closed beta

Trajekt is preparing for closed beta. Features, calculations, and service availability may change as the product is tested and improved. These terms may also be updated before broader release.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Trajekt. By creating an account, selecting the acceptance control, or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

Do not create an account or use Trajekt if you do not agree. Trajekt may update these terms as the product or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another reasonable method.

2. Eligibility and account security

You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement in your province or territory. A person below the age of majority should use Trajekt only with a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms and supervises use.

You must provide accurate account information, protect your password and device, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account except to the extent caused by Trajekt's failure to use reasonable safeguards.

3. Educational financial-planning service

Trajekt is a financial education, organization, and planning tool. It is not a bank, brokerage, portfolio manager, investment fund, credit provider, tax preparer, law firm, or registered financial adviser.

Trajekt does not execute trades, hold client money or securities, guarantee outcomes, or create a fiduciary, advisory, agency, or professional-client relationship. Current beta outputs are intended to provide educational calculations, projections, summaries, and planning guidance based on information and assumptions entered into the service.

Trajekt is not a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional. You should independently evaluate significant decisions involving investments, taxes, debt, insurance, law, or other major financial commitments.

4. Your information and decisions

You control the information entered into Trajekt and are responsible for its accuracy, completeness, and currency. Manual prices, categories, dates, balances, transactions, and other entries may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect.

You remain responsible for your financial decisions and for verifying material outputs independently. Historical performance, modelled progress, risk labels, financial-health indicators, projected dates, and similar outputs do not guarantee future results.

5. Acceptable use

You may use Trajekt only for lawful personal purposes and in accordance with these terms.

  • Do not access or attempt to access another person's account or information.
  • Do not probe, bypass, disable, overload, or interfere with authentication, security controls, rate limits, database controls, or service operation.
  • Do not upload malicious code, automate abusive requests, reverse engineer protected components except where the law expressly permits it, or use the service to violate law or third-party rights.
  • Do not misrepresent Trajekt outputs as professional, regulated, guaranteed, or independently verified advice.

6. Intellectual property

Trajekt and its software, design, branding, text, calculations, interfaces, and original content are owned by or licensed to Trajekt and may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for personal purposes.

You retain rights in information you enter. You grant Trajekt the limited permission necessary to host, process, synchronize, display, back up, and otherwise use that information to provide, secure, and support the service as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

Trajekt relies on third-party platforms and service providers, including app stores, device operating systems, email providers, hosting providers, and cloud infrastructure. Their services and terms are separate from Trajekt, and interruptions, changes, or failures in those services may affect availability.

8. Closed-beta availability and changes

During closed beta, features may be incomplete, changed, suspended, corrected, or removed. Trajekt may modify data handling, calculations, interfaces, and product behaviour where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, compliance, or product development.

Trajekt does not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service. Keep independent records of information you may need. Any in-app export is provided as a convenience and is not an official banking, brokerage, accounting, tax, or legal record.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trajekt is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties or guarantees concerning accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, financial outcome, or uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trajekt and its founders, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, trading losses, loss of data, or decisions made using the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using Trajekt at any time. You may reset financial data while keeping your account or permanently delete your account through Profile → Data & Privacy.

Trajekt may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, security threats, abuse, a material breach of these terms, legal obligations, or discontinuation of the service. Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, Trajekt will provide notice or an opportunity to export data.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your province or territory. Courts located in Manitoba will have jurisdiction where legally permitted.

Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@trajekt.ca. General support is available at support@trajekt.ca. Trajekt is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
