Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Trajekt collects, why it is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.

Effective August 23, 2026Version 2026-08-23.1

Closed beta

Trajekt is preparing for closed beta. This policy describes the current website, product, and data practices and may be updated as the beta, service providers, and legal requirements evolve.

1. Scope and accountability

This Privacy Policy applies to the Trajekt website, mobile application, related support channels, and services operated under the Trajekt name. Trajekt is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Trajekt is responsible for personal information under its control and aims to handle it in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws. Questions, access requests, correction requests, or privacy complaints can be sent to privacy@trajekt.ca.

2. Information we collect

Trajekt collects information you provide, information created when you use the app or website, and limited technical information needed to operate, measure, and support the service.

  • Account information, including your email address, authentication identifiers, account status, and password-reset or confirmation events. Trajekt does not receive your plain-text password.
  • Financial profile information you enter, such as age, province, income, employment, housing, relationship status, investing experience, risk comfort, and time horizon.
  • Financial planning information you enter, including balances, debts, savings, goals, investment accounts, holdings, prices, transactions, contributions, withdrawals, dividends, fees, and monthly check-ins.
  • Support and beta-feedback information, including report category, severity, description, app version, platform, account email, and report reference.
  • Waitlist information you submit, including your email address, the communications you requested, request source, notice version, and request time.
  • If you choose to allow website analytics, limited analytics information such as page views, browser or device information, approximate location, referring source or campaign parameters, and interactions with the waitlist funnel. Trajekt does not send your waitlist email address to Google Analytics.
  • If you choose to allow advertising measurement, the website may use Meta Pixel to record limited advertising-measurement information such as page views, browser or device information, referring source or campaign information, and whether a waitlist signup was successfully completed. Trajekt does not send your waitlist email address or financial profile data to Meta through this website integration.
  • Technical and operational information needed for security, authentication, synchronization, error handling, and service reliability.

3. How we use information

Trajekt uses personal information for identified and reasonable purposes connected with operating, securing, improving, measuring, and supporting the service.

  • Create and authenticate your account.
  • Store, synchronize, restore, and display your financial plan across supported devices.
  • Generate educational calculations, projections, summaries, and guidance based on information you enter.
  • Manage waitlist requests and send the specific beta, launch, product-availability, and early-access updates you request.
  • Measure website traffic, campaign attribution, and waitlist-funnel performance when you have allowed website analytics.
  • Measure paid-social advertising visits and successful waitlist conversions when you have separately allowed advertising measurement.
  • Respond to support, privacy, security, and account requests.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent misuse, security incidents, or technical failures.
  • Evaluate and improve app and website reliability, usability, and closed-beta quality.
  • Meet legal, regulatory, record-keeping, and enforcement obligations where applicable.

4. Consent and choices

Trajekt asks for agreement to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use during account creation. By creating an account and providing information, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure described in this policy, subject to applicable law.

You may choose not to provide optional information, but some features may be unavailable or less useful. Where legally permitted, you may withdraw consent for future use by deleting information or your account. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing and may prevent Trajekt from continuing to provide the service.

Non-essential website analytics are not loaded unless you choose to allow analytics. Meta Pixel is not loaded unless you separately choose to allow advertising measurement. These choices are stored locally in your browser and can be revisited using the Privacy settings link on the website.

Marketing messages use a separate request and consent process where required. Account confirmation, security, service, and support messages are operational communications rather than marketing preferences.

5. Storage, service providers, and disclosure

Trajekt stores a local device copy to support performance and recovery, and uses cloud service providers for authentication, database storage, synchronization, and secure account operations. Current cloud services include Supabase.

The website uses Formspree to process waitlist submissions; Google Analytics only after you allow website analytics; and Meta Pixel only after you separately allow advertising measurement. Google Analytics is used for website and waitlist-funnel measurement. Meta Pixel is used to measure paid-social visits and successful waitlist conversions.

Trajekt does not currently connect directly to your bank or brokerage account. Financial information in the beta is entered or updated by you.

Personal information may be disclosed to service providers that process it for Trajekt, to authorities when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a genuine business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. Trajekt does not sell personal information.

Service providers may process information in Canada or other jurisdictions. Information processed outside your province or Canada may be subject to the laws and lawful-access rules of those jurisdictions.

6. Safeguards

Trajekt uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of financial and account information. Current measures include authenticated access, row-level database controls, encrypted network connections provided by platform services, restricted operational access, and account-specific data separation.

No internet, cloud, or device-storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, email account, password, and sign-in session, and for reporting suspected unauthorized access promptly.

7. Retention and deletion

Trajekt keeps personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the service, resolve disputes, protect security, and meet legal obligations.

You can reset financial data while keeping your login, or permanently delete your account from Profile → Data & Privacy. Account deletion removes the authentication account and associated Trajekt records, subject to information Trajekt may be legally required to retain. A local copy may remain temporarily in device backups or caches controlled by your operating system until overwritten or removed.

If you can no longer access the app, visit the account deletion page or contact privacy@trajekt.ca for assistance.

8. Access, correction, and portability

You can review and update much of your information in the app. Profile → Data & Privacy provides a readable JSON export containing the information currently associated with your Trajekt financial profile and plan without passwords or authentication tokens.

You may also request access to, correction of, or information about the use and disclosure of personal information by contacting Trajekt. Identity verification may be required before fulfilling a request, and legal exceptions may apply.

9. Children and capacity

Trajekt is not designed for children who cannot legally consent to the collection and use of their personal information. A person below the age of majority in their province or territory should use Trajekt only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Changes and contact

Trajekt may update this policy as the product, website, service providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, or another reasonable method, and the effective date and version will be updated.

Privacy questions, complaints, access requests, correction requests, and deletion requests can be sent to privacy@trajekt.ca. Trajekt is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
